MOFA announces adjustments to regulations for foreign nationals entering Taiwan beginning March 1, 2021, in line with the continuation of CECC Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced on February 24, 2021, that implementation of the Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program (2020/12/01-2021/2/28) will be continued until further notice, but that entry regulations will be adjusted. In accordance with the decision, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will update regulations concerning the entry of foreign nationals into the Republic of China (Taiwan).

On February 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that a cumulative total of 137 confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported in Cambodia from February 20 to February 23, and it was determined that cases in the country would continue to rise.

On February 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it would again allow people from CECC's list of low- and medium-risk countries/regions who are eligible to enter Taiwan and wish to make short visits for business purposes to apply for shortened quarantine periods in Taiwan.

CORONAVIRUS/Taiwan eases restrictions on entry of foreign visitors

Taiwan will partially lift restrictions on the entry of foreign visitors starting March 1 and allow shorter quarantine periods for business travelers from countries deemed as being at low or low-to-moderate risk for COVID-19.

In response to the continued severity of COVID-19 worldwide, Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program will continue to be implemented

On February 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program, originally scheduled to be effective from December 1, 2020, to February 28, 2021, would be adjusted and continue to be implemented on and after March 1, in response to the severity of COVID-19 globally and the continued occurrence of imported cases in Taiwan.
