The highly-anticipated 2023 Edison Awards™ winners were revealed in Fort Myers, Florida, and ITRI is proud to be among them. The ITRI team attended the award ceremony on April 21 and received recognition for three exceptional technological innovations: the Intelligent Radio Frequency Ablation (iRFA), Coordinated Supramolecular Complex (CSC), and Athena Orchestrator—O-RAN SMO & RIC.
Taiwan Week 2023, a biannual conference held by the National Theater & Concert Hall (NTCH), began on April 9, featuring a week of performances by Taiwanese performing arts troupes while playing host to 44 international curators representing prominent performing arts theaters of 14 countries/regions. The event, which runs until April 15, is the largest international gathering of its kind in Taiwan.
To highlight the openness, diversity and queer culture of Taiwanese society, the 2023 Queer East Festival, in collaboration with the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the UK, will showcase a selection of Taiwanese audiovisual works at eight venues in London from April 18 to 30. The festival will then continue to tour 10 cities throughout the UK during the autumn season, and popular films from previous years will be screened online as part of the festival.

“Lost in Forest (山中森林),” a film starring award-winning actor Lee Kang Sheng (李康生), is scheduled to premiere on April 16 as part of Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC) season 16. Taiwanese writer/director Johnny Chiang (姜寧) and Lee will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A session afterward.
Spanning nine days beginning April 7, the 2023 Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival (GHFFF) is back in Taipei with a series of film screenings, featuring a diverse range of genres, including Sci-Fi, horror, thriller, musical, comedy, Wuxia, animation, romance, and cult films.
The 51st National Book Fair took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from March 30 to April 9 in Thailand.
