Taiwan ranked in top 3 by InterNations

Taiwan is named the third best destination in the world for expatriates, according to the Expat Insider 2022 Survey released July 15 by Munich-based InterNations, the largest global network for people living abroad.

University of Mindanao Chorale to perform at Taipei festival

The University of Mindanao Chorale from Davao City, the Philippines, will perform at the upcoming Taipei International Choral Festival (TICF), making it the first internationally invited group to physically appear at the event in three years.

“Isle to Isle: Taiwan Design Week” kicks off in Penang

“Isle to Isle: Taiwan Design Week (島嶼島:臺灣設計週),” organized by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, will be launched at the George Town Festival in Penang. As part of the festival, Taiwanese design projects will be displayed at a design exhibition titled “Beyond Aesthetics,” which will run from July 16 to 24.

Several Taiwanese films to feature at 2022 New York Asian Film Festival

With the support of the Taipei Cultural Center in New York, Taiwanese films “Mama Boy (初戀慢半拍),” “The Funeral (頭七),” “My Best Friend’s Breakfast (我吃了那男孩一整年的早餐),” “Terrorizers (青春弒戀),” “Life for Sale (售命),” “Tank Fairy (桶妝仙女),” and “Reclaim (一家之主)” will be featured at Film at Lincoln Center (FLC) and Asia Society from July 16 to 29, as part of the 2022 New York Asian Film Festival.

The United Nations hosts the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York every July, where it invites leaders and civil society groups from various countries to jointly review the progress towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and propose corresponding strategies. The meeting is now in its 10th year (2022) and will be held from Tuesday, 5 July, to Friday, 15 July 2022.

After bagging three awards at the Taipei Film Festival on July 9, “Demigod: The Legend Begins (素還真)” went on to win the Audience Award for Best Asian Film at the 21st Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), which took place in Switzerland.
