2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival underway in Kaohsiung

The 2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival is underway at two spectacular sites in the southern city of Kaohsiung, Weiwuying Metropolitan Park and Love River Bay, both of which are deeply connected to the evolution of the urban landscape while retaining their links to the recent and historic past.

Taiwan has been ranked as the No. 1 “full democracy” in Asia, jumping three places in the 2021 Democracy Index rankings from the previous year, according to a report released Thursday by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

Taiwan, Singapore, and Poland jointly produced the film “Ci Xin Qie Gu (刺心切骨)” directed by a Singaporean director Nelicia Low (劉慧伶). The movie production has received subsidies from the Information Bureau, Taichung City Government and is about to start filming. Nelicia mentioned that through the film, the audience will rethink the definition of love.

Ministry of Economic Affairs Commends Taiwan Team for Setting Best Records at 2020/2021 APICTA Awards with 4 Winner and 15 Merit Awards

In the 2020/2021 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards), the Taiwan delegation won four winner and 15 merit awards; ranking first among 260 teams and setting a record in Taiwan’s participation in the competition. The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) held an appreciation party on January 14th and invited Vice Minister Chuan-Neng Lin to commend and congratulate the teams.
