Starting from January 1, CECC to tighten health and disease prevention and control measures for flight crew members of Taiwan-based airlines

On December 28, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that airline companies must reinforce control measures at overseas destinations and in-flight protection protocols, continue to manage flight operations, and implement relevant audit mechanisms.

Taiwan sees first domestic COVID-19 case in over 8 months

Taiwan has seen its first domestically-transmitted COVID-19 case in over eight months. That’s the word from the Central Epidemic Command Center on Tuesday. The case is a woman in her 30s who is a friend of a New Zealand pilot who tested positive on Sunday. The two had close contact with each other from December 7 to 12. Test results for the woman came back positive Tuesday.

On December 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in consideration of the escalating coronavirus situation in Indonesia, it would continue suspending entry of all Indonesian migrant workers coming to Taiwan to work starting from December 18.
