The 45th Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF45) will take place from Aug. 3 through 13. Three films by Taiwanese directors as well as two US-Taiwan co-productions have been selected. In addition, Taiwanese American film editor Jean Tsien (錢孝貞) was announced as the recipient of AAIFF45's Media Award.
With the support of the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) under the Minister of Economic Affairs, ITRI held the 2022 International Workshop on Trustworthy AI online on August 2. Over 500 experts gathered at the first-ever conference in Taiwan on this theme to discuss topics such as AI risk management and trustworthy AI systems.

A Taiwanese Indigenous music video “kemay calun (return from the wild),” performed by an indigenous band from the Puyuma tribe in Taitung and produced by the Alian Culture Creative Workshop (阿藜漾文創工作室), has won several international awards.

The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand organized a Thailand Industry 4.0 forum for alumni of universities in Taiwan to share their experiences of starting up a business in Thailand. It was held on June 19, 2022 at the Evergreen hotel in Bangkok and attended by 63 alumni from 21 universities and the Association of Taiwan Alumni (Thailand).

Four Taiwanese and Australian art venues will partner this year to present the Biennial Live Event in Everyday Digital (BLEED), an exhibition of contemporary artworks that explore the relationship between the real and digital worlds, Taiwan's Ministry of Culture said Wednesday.
