On 6th October, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai, Taiwan’s overseas mission in southern India, hosted a dinner reception at Taj Coromandel celebrating Taiwan’s 111th National Day. On 11 August 2022, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines held a send-off lunch for the first batch of English teachers and teaching assistants of the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program (TFETP) at the New World Makati Hotel. Representative Peiyung Hsu personally congratulated the 14 English teachers and 3 teaching assistants who were present and wished them an enjoyable and memorable teaching experience in Taiwan.
The Taiwanese Halal Food & Plant-based Meat Cooking Contest was held for the first time ever during the Taiwan Expo 2022 in Malaysia in an effort to promote Taiwan’s halal ingredients here. The event was organized by the Taiwan Halal Center and the Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan.
Taiwan-The University of Sydney Scholarship is co-funded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan) (MOE) and the University of Sydney. Up to five PhD scholarships is available each year. Five Taiwanese recipients awarded this scholarship in 2022.
