MOFA stages NSP seminar for Indian students in Taiwan

The New Southbound Policy—Indian Students as Market Navigators seminar was held Nov. 25 in Taipei City as part of government efforts to expand people-to-people exchanges with NSP target country India, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Premier touts Taiwan’s role in black hole research

At the Cabinet’s weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Su Tseng-chang received a Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) briefing on Taiwan’s important role in the field of black hole research. He thanked the scientists and engineers who garnered international recognition for Taiwan for contributions to the advancement of astronomy. Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program will be implemented on December 1 and travelers must provide a COVID-19 RT-PCR test result; travelers can be exempted from such a test result under three circumstances

On November 25, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program would be implemented starting from December 1, and under this program, travelers shall present a certificate of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within three days prior to boarding the flight to Taiwan.

Taiwan’s New Measures for Management of Medical Masks

Taiwan has recently initiated two new measures to reinforce the management of medical masks. Since July 7th, 2020, the country began to implement border random inspection of medical masks. From September 24th, 2020, domestically manufactured medical masks are required to be marked with government-issued debossed stamps. These measures aim to control the quality of imported medical masks and differentiate domestic medical masks from those imported.
