Thailand reports one confirmed COVID-19 case returning to Thailand from Taiwan; CECC and local governments launch epidemic investigation

On July 27, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that Taiwan received a notification from Thai authorities this noon that a migrant worker who returned to Thailand from Taiwan has been confirmed to have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). After contact with Thai authorities, the CECC has obtained information on the confirmed case. The case is a Thai migrant worker who worked in northern Taiwan.

The CECC announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on July 22. The CECC also announced the updated list of countries/regions eligible for shortened quarantine periods in Taiwan. The CECC reported that Hong Kong and Australia continue to record more locally-acquired cases in recent weeks, and the coronavirus pandemic is worsening in Hong Kong and Australia.

Cumulative total of 451 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 440 patients released from isolation

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on July 15. The CECC reported that a cumulative total of 78,897 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 77,948. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 451 cases.

The South China Sea Islands are part of the territory of the Republic of China. That the ROC is entitled to all rights over the South China Sea Islands and their relevant waters in accordance with international law and the law of the sea is beyond dispute. On July 19, 2016, President Tsai Ing-wen outlined four principles and five actions to deal with South China Sea issues together with the international community.

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on July 8. The CECC reported that a cumulative total of 77,876 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 76,942. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 449 cases.
