Taiwan Introduces More Foreign English Teaching Talents into Public Schools

The Ministry of Education (MOE) has launched the “Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program (TFETP)” to recruit quality English teachers. Recruited teachers will start teaching in public elementary and secondary schools in all 22 counties and cities in Taiwan in the coming fall semester.

According to Taiwan News mentions, at a Cabinet press briefing on April 15, Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) said the 5+2 Innovative Industries Plan and Taiwan’s Six Core Strategic Industries are in great need of foreign talents.

Taipei Becomes First City in Northeast Asia with Certified WTTC Safe Travels Stamp

In February of 2021, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) announced that it has certified Taipei City as the first safe travel city in Taiwan and Northeast Asia to receive its Safe Travels stamp. Mayor Ko Wen-je attended the ceremony on April 16 to hand the certificates to representatives from the local tourism industry.
