Four track and field Olympians were the only Taiwanese athletes to attend the Tokyo Games’ closing ceremony Sunday, with sprinter Chen Chieh (陳傑) the flag bearer for the national team.

Taiwan won gold in men’s doubles badminton, silvers in women’s singles badminton and men’s artistic gymnastics pommel horse and bronze in men’s individual stroke play golf at the Tokyo Olympics July 31 to Aug. 1, bringing the country’s medal tally to 10 and rank by total to equal 15th with Brazil.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) is continuing to cooperate with Swiss-based international non-governmental organization, Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh), to implement the Digital Health Innovation for COVID-19 Response in India (Phase 2) project, which officially started on July 16, 2021.

Six Taiwanese films to be highlighted at New York Asian Film Festival

The New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF)‘s 20th edition, running from August 6 to 22, will feature six Taiwanese films. This festival, with its largest film lineup to date, will screen over 60 films from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea, both virtually and in-person, at Lincoln Center, America.
