The “9th Meeting of Taiwan-Philippines Agricultural Cooperation” was held via video conference on December 3, 2020. It was jointly presided over by Deputy Minister Chin-cheng Huang, Council of Agriculture(COA) and an Undersecretary of the Philippines’ Department of Agriculture.

Austronesian Forum Attended by Representatives from 14 Countries

The Council of Indigenous Peoples (CIP) met with the Austronesian Forum’s envoy representatives in Taiwan to hold the 2020 Executive Council meeting in Taipei today. The meeting was chaired by Executive Council Chairperson Icyang Parod. Delegates to the meeting all highly approved of the Forum’s accomplishments in various projects, and confirmed that the Forum’s general assembly will be held in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the latter half of the following year.

The Melbourne Fringe Festival, a celebrated art festival in Australia, will be highlighting Taiwan for the first time this year. Held since 1983, Melbourne Fringe Festival will be hosting "Fringe Focus Taiwan" virtually as one of the signature events from Nov. 12 through 29.

Taiwan launches venture fund to explore international channels for original content from Taiwan

The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), an agency aimed to boost the nation’s content production, announced the “Last Stage Fund,” a cooperation program with two local audiovisual production promoters to find new international channels for original content from Taiwan. Through this fund, projects developed by local and international partners, as well as original proposals developed in collaboration with international platforms, will receive up to $300,000 each in grants.
