On the afternoon of June 21, President Tsai Ing-wen met with the delegation of Honduran First Vice-President Ricardo Antonio Alvarez Arias. She expressed hope that steady cooperation between the Republic of China and Honduras would produce the greatest benefit under the Taiwan-Honduras Free Trade Agreement, thus creating a win-win situation for both countries in economics and trade via mutual assistance.

Vice president touts government’s resolve to boost economy

Following President Tsai Ing-wen’s inauguration in May last year, the government introduced the New Southbound Policy with the aim of helping local businesses expand into South and Southeast Asia, the vice president said.
