NPM mobile educational kit wins big at iF Design Award

A set of five mobile teaching kits designed by the National Palace Museum and Taipei City-based Bright Ideas for Life Co. took home a service design prize at iF Design Award 2021 April 12, spotlighting the state-run facility’s efforts to promote appreciation of the arts among the next generation.

Taipei Becomes First City in Northeast Asia with Certified WTTC Safe Travels Stamp

In February of 2021, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) announced that it has certified Taipei City as the first safe travel city in Taiwan and Northeast Asia to receive its Safe Travels stamp. Mayor Ko Wen-je attended the ceremony on April 16 to hand the certificates to representatives from the local tourism industry.

2021 Asia Art Biennial ‘Phantasmapolis’ scheduled to open on Oct. 30

Inspired by renowned Taiwanese architect Wang Da-hong (王大閎), the 2021 Asia Art Biennial will adopt the theme “Phantasmapolis (未來之城),” hoping to explore Asian futurism and observe the post-Second World War cultural development in the regions of Asia.

Pingtung County Government policy statement poster ‘Super Policy’ wins iF Design Excellence Award

“Super Policy (超級縣政),” the poster displayed at the 2019 Taiwan Design Expo in Pingtung, is a Design Excellence winner of the 2021 iF Design Award 2021. Commissioned by the Pingtung County Government, Chiang Meng-chih (江孟芝), creative director of Taipei-based Mengdom Design Lab, created the poster, which features the county government’s policies on agriculture, labor affairs, civic engineering, environmental protection, social welfare, Hakka affairs, indigenous affairs, education and culture.

According to The China Post, Dajia Jenn Lann Temple (大甲鎮瀾宮) joined hands with Taiwan Digital Diplomacy (TDD, 台灣數位外交協會) to invite nearly 100 diplomatic envoys from 13 countries to participate in the Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage (大甲媽祖繞境), which kicked off on April 9, lasting until April 18.

Degree students have once again been allowed to enter the Republic of China (Taiwan) again since December 8, 2020.
