Premier Chen receives India Rep. Yadav in Taipei

MOFA response to expressions of concern over Taiwan Strait by US vice president and Australian prime minister during ASEAN-related events in Indonesia

United States Vice President Kamala Harris reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait at the 18th East Asia Summit held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on September 7. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also conveyed concern over regional security issues, including in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea, during a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) warmly welcomes and appreciates Prime Minister Kishida publicly reiterating staunch support for cross-strait peace and stability after he expressed the same stance at the US-Japan-ROK summit at Camp David on August 18.
