10 Taiwanese films made their debut at Malaysia International Film Festival

10 Taiwanese films were selected to screen at the 6th Malaysia International Film Festival, which was held from July 23 to 29. Curated by Kuo Ming-jung (郭敏容), the film festival opened with the Malaysian premiere of “Day Off (本日公休)” by director Fu Tien-yu (傅天余).

Taiwanese speakers to embark on lecture tour in Malaysia

Representative figures of Taiwan’s cultural sector are invited to attend and speak at a Taiwan-themed lecture series in Malaysia. Organized by the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia and a Malaysian independent bookstore Monsoon Books, the lecture tour aims to develop exchanges between Taiwan and Malaysia.

Two Taiwanese artists to join 24th Biennale of Sydney

With support from the Ministry of Culture, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Sydney is collaborating with the Biennale of Sydney for the second time to launch a project, inviting Taiwanese artists to exhibit their artworks. The Australian biennial announced its theme titled “Ten Thousand Suns” and the first 39 artists for its 24th edition on July 25. Taiwanese artists Idas Losin and Li Jiun-yang (李俊陽) are among those expected to join the art festival next year.

Deepening the Partnership for English Language Learning between Taiwan and Australia, Advancing International Cooperation under Bilingual 2030 Policy

In order to promote international cooperation for the Bilingual 2030 Policy, the National Development Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Australian Office convened the inaugural “Australia-Taiwan English Language Learning Dialogue” on March 3rd, 2022. In August 2022, the “Australia-Taiwan English Language Learning Partnership Action Plan 2022” was signed.
