The Keelung City Government formed the New Immigrant Affairs Committee (新住民事務委員會) to help new immigrants integrate into Taiwanese society, and during this year’s Zhongyuan Festival events, it won a float specifically for the new immigrants. Together with international students, the family of the new immigrants forms a parade.
At the Taiwan International Balloon Festival on August 2, the National Immigration Agency Taitung County Service Center’s Southern District Affairs Brigade informed attendees and international pilots about anti-corruption election. The director (林明道) of the NIA Taitung County Service Center also reminded the populace to remain impartial and reject election bribery behaviors if any candidate or unit offered free travel or gifts in different ways during the election period.

Winners of the 12th Presidential Culture Awards were announced on July 18, with five individuals and groups honored for their cultural contributions. Organized by the General Association of Chinese Culture, the award ceremony will be held on Oct. 17.

National Immigration Agency Tainan City First Service Center recently invited new immigrants from various nations to learn how to make rolled paper cards, which they could then send back to their hometowns to express their longing for their mothers and share in the festive atmosphere of Mother’s Day.
The Education Department, New Taipei City Government will host a Southeast Asian Language Competition and an International Language Competition on the purpose of fostering students' interest and motivation in learning Southeast Asian languages as well as to provide them the opportunity to exhibit their learning outcomes. June 1st to June 30th will be the registration period. Thai, Cambodian, Burmese, Malay, Vietnamese, Hindi, Cambodian, and Filipino are among the seven participating languages. B
