Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang as well as Deputy Representative and Mrs. Steven Tai attended the Singapore debut performance of Cloud Gate 2 at the Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts 2017 at the Esplanade on 7 February 2017. Led by its Artistic Director Ms. Cheng Tsung-lung, Cloud Gate 2 presented three riveting dance pieces entitled “Wicked Fish”, “The Wall” and “Beckoning”.

At the post-performance reception, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang praised the performers for putting together a great show and thanked everyone involved in the production for their efforts in promoting Taiwanese culture overseas.

The Esplanade, Singapore’s premier arts center, is one of the busiest arts centers in the world with about 3,000 performances presented yearly.
