Karnataka’s First Taiwan Education Centre (TEC) with the support of the Education Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in India was inaugurated at Presidency University, Bengaluru on Monday, December 27, 2021. This is the First Ever Taiwan Education Centre in the State of Karnataka.

This TEC was set up with the objective of promoting the Educational and Cultural cooperation between Taiwan and Presidency University. Taiwan Education Centre at Presidency University was inaugurated by His Excellency Ambassador Mr Baushuan Ger, Representative, TECC in India in the presence of Mr Ben Wang (Director-General, TECC Chennai), Mr Peters Chen (Assistant Representative and Director, Education Division, TECC in India), Ms Susan Cheng (Director, TECC in Chennai), Ms Jen Chun Tsai (Assistant Representative, TECC in India). Dr Nissar Ahmed, Chancellor, Presidency University, Bengaluru presided over the ceremony. Dr.D.Subhakar (Vice-Chancellor), Vice Presidents, Pro VCs, Registrar, Deans & HoDs were also present.
