New Delhi, December 11, 2023: Taiwan was the buzz of the city, as New Delhi played host to a vibrant annual ‘Taiwan Film Festival 2023’ that took place this past Saturday at the popular PVR Priya Cinema, located at one of the city’s most visited hangout places, Priya Complex. The second consecutive edition after the Covid-induced three-year break, the Festival this year was organised at a much greater scale and scope than last year.

Organised by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC), India, the festival is an educational attempt to create a stronger socio-cultural bridge of awareness and understanding between the people of the two countries, bring Taiwanese cinema, people and the destination itself, closer to the people of India and also boost visitation and tourism exchange.

The day-long festival showcased three extraordinary films of creative achievements, great story-telling and presentation. The films, ‘Till We Meet Again’, a fascinating romantic fantasy comedy; the exhilarating ‘Marry My Dead Body’, a brilliant mix-genre film creating a dazzling blend of supernatural comedy with elements of crime thriller and ‘After School’, another riveting story of adolescence, love and relationship and self-discovery, were not merely a collection of incredible stories, but are also inspiring cultural and destination showcase.

Addressing guests at the festival, H.E Baushuan Ger, Representative of Taiwan in India, said, “The festival this year is truly exceptional as we have expanded the scale and scope of this wonderful event this year as we showcase three outstanding movies. If you have attended last year's festival, the decision to expand the scale of this festival has been driven by the overwhelming response that we received last year. Your enthusiasm and support for Taiwanese films have inspired us to make this year's event even more spectacular, accommodating a broader audience that shares in the love for Taiwan.
