As a matter of fact, Rotary International has formed the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US in 1988, dedicated to eliminating Polio from the face of the planet.
