In remarks, President Tsai thanked the WMA for its many years of speaking up for Taiwan on the international stage. At noon on May 27, President Tsai Ing-wen met with members of Taiwan’s World Health Assembly (WHA) action team, praising the team members for uniting efforts at home and abroad to convey Taiwan’s message to the world. President Tsai said that the international community’s support for Taiwan is increasing, and that a record-high 12 allies and 13 like-minded countries voiced support for Taiwan this year.

The Seventy-sixth World Health Assembly (WHA) adopted an ambitious theme for 2023 — WHO at 75: Saving lives, driving health for all. The TaiwanICDF echoes this sentiment, including by co-hosting the “Mental Health for All: Psychosocial Support for People in Need in Emergency Contexts” forum with the Good Neighbors Global Partnership Center and Malteser International.
