The theme of the 2019 Taipei Poetry Festival is “The Woodpecker on the Wall”. It showcases the richness and diversification of poetry through performances, lectures, poem film competition, and book exhibition. The festival started on September 21st and runs through October 6th. The organizer invites everyone to enjoy the beauty of poetry. There are poems and singers from Japan, Germany, America, Lithuania, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

In promoting Taichung's film and television industry, Information Bureau Director-General Huang-sheng Wu and other delegates traveled to New Zealand to meet with Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development (ATEED) and Kumeu Film Studios today (26th). Screen Auckland Manager Michael Brook has expressed a high-level interest in collaborating with Taichung, hoping export seasoned producer talents to Taiwan.

2019 Rockin Taichung will kick off at the Wenxin Forest Park and Fulfillment Amphitheatre on September 7 and 8, featuring performances by 66 domestic and international bands including EggPlantEgg (winner of 2 Golden Melody Awards last year), Bisiugroup (shortlisted for Golden Melody Awards this year), Flesh Juicer, Vast&Hazy, as well as well-known Taiwanese bands 831, Cosmos People, and The Chairman.
