2023 Scholarship for Foreign Students TaiwanICDF, MOFA to Open Applications from Now until March 15th

Every year, more foreigners enroll in Taiwan’s colleges and master’s programs, and numerous government offices have established scholarship programs to encourage this development and lessen the financial burden of tuition. “TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program”, established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will open applications from now until March 15th, and will provide 200 scholarships for foreign students come to Taiwan to study for a degree.

The eighth annual Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) hosted a special Taiwan Film Day, presented by the Taiwan Academy of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO-LA), Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA). The celebration was highlighted by a red-carpet screening of Taiwan’s 95th Academy Awards® International Feature Film Oscar submission, Goddamned Asura, followed by a Q&A with writer/director Lou Yi-An (樓一安) and a VIP reception.

Taiwan Indigenous artist to take part in Taiwan-Australia arts exchange partnership

A Taiwanese artist will be participating in the 2023 Taiwan-Australia Art Exchange Partnership Program in 2023. Taiwan’s National Culture and Arts Foundation and the Australian Office in Taipei made the announcement on Tuesday. The two countries signed the partnership agreement earlier in June.

To expand Taiwan’s presence across Southeast Asia, the Ministry of Culture (MOC) launched the Bahasa Indonesia version of its official website, which is already available in English, Japanese, Spanish, and French. In recent years, the MOC has been actively engaged in cultural exchanges with Southeast Asian countries under the New Southbound Policy.

International artists to join inaugural Focasa Circus Festival in Taiwan

Following the successful test run in March 2022, the inaugural edition of the Focasa Circus Festival (FOCASA, 馬戲藝術節) will be held officially at Tainan’s Shueijiaoshe Cultural Park from Feb. 22 to 28. Jointly organized by the Formosa Circus Art (FOCA) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Tainan City Government, FOCASA will feature circus artists from Taiwan, France, Australia, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Cambodia.
