The global health network is incomplete without Taiwan.

Through government agencies and civic groups, Taiwan provides medical and health care assistance, as well as humanitarian aid, to allies and partner countries around the globe.

The Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) in Indonesia is breaking new ground through an agricultural training initiative. Since March 2025, the TTM has been providing agricultural training at Karawang Prison to support the Indonesian government’s efforts in boosting local agriculture, while facilitating inmate reintegration in West Java. This initiative marks the first time in nearly five decades of local experience that the TTM has entered a correctional facility to deliver vocational training.

As the 2025 World Masters Games (WMG 2025) draws near, New Taipei City is actively preparing for the event and also participating in the Rainbow Cities Network (RCN) Photo Exhibition to showcase our efforts and achievements in promoting sports equality and diversity.

On April 30, Cheloy Garafil, Chairperson and Resident Representative of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), paid an official visit to New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih. To implement the core philosophy of The Third Ministry of Education (Medium-to-Long Term) Plan for Aesthetic Education, “Aesthetics is life: So we must introduce children to aesthetics from a young age; root aesthetics in our lives; embrace local and international aesthetics; and embrace sustainable practices”, the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as “MOE”) has commissioned the National University of Tainan to conduct The Early Childhood Aesthetics Education Cornerstone Project.

The 2023 ESG report released by the Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC), after submission to the Singapore-based Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA), has been honored with the ASRA Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (Public Sector) Silver Award. This internationally prestigious award gives important recognition to TIPC’s ongoing efforts in the realm of sustainability and represents an important milestone in the company’s work to achieve sustainable operations.

On March 26, 2025, the Environmental Management Administration (EMA) of the Ministry of Environment (MOENV) held the “International Forum on Soil and Groundwater Challenges and Sustainable Governance Strategies in the ASEAN Region” at the GIS National Taipei University of Technology Convention Center.

A conference on dengue prevention and control was held April 22-23 in the southern Taiwan city of Tainan to facilitate discussion between members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation on ways to employ innovative technology to address new challenges in the post-COVID-19 era.
