Taiwan imposed the mandatory group quarantine measure on travelers visiting Taiwan from the Philippines on September 24, requiring those travelers to follow the specimen collection procedure upon arrival, to complete the quarantine period at a group quarantine facility, and to undergo another second specimen collection before the end of the quarantine period.

On October 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced three new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those three new cases are a Filipina in her 20s (Case #541), a Filipino man in his 20s (Case #542), and a Taiwanese man in his 50s (Case #543). They all entered Taiwan from the Philippines.

Of the five new cases (Case #536-540), two entered Taiwan from the Philippines, and the remaining three traveled from France, Indonesia, and Russia.

On September 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that a cumulative total of 93,651 cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 92,502. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 514 cases (Case #514 confirmed today).
