The Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) in Indonesia is breaking new ground through an agricultural training initiative. Since March 2025, the TTM has been providing agricultural training at Karawang Prison to support the Indonesian government’s efforts in boosting local agriculture, while facilitating inmate reintegration in West Java. This initiative marks the first time in nearly five decades of local experience that the TTM has entered a correctional facility to deliver vocational training.
