2025 Taiwan-India Higher Education Leaders Forum Boosts Academic Collaboration

The 2025 Taiwan–India Higher Education Leaders Forum took place at the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) in Delhi, on March 25. It was organized by FICHET—the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan—and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). This was the third forum for leaders of universities and institutions of higher education in Taiwan and in India. It was also the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Taiwan and India.

To promote AI innovation and foster emerging talent, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) hosted the inaugural Best AI Awards Finals and Awards Ceremony on May 3 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. The competition attracted 1,253 elite teams from 36 countries. Agricultural Training Brings Indonesian Inmates Valuable Skills

The Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) in Indonesia is breaking new ground through an agricultural training initiative. Since March 2025, the TTM has been providing agricultural training at Karawang Prison to support the Indonesian government’s efforts in boosting local agriculture, while facilitating inmate reintegration in West Java. This initiative marks the first time in nearly five decades of local experience that the TTM has entered a correctional facility to deliver vocational training.
