CORONAVIRUS/Taiwan could receive COVID-19 vaccine in February at the earliest

Taiwan and other countries that are not United Nations members will be allotted 1.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the first round of vaccine distribution by the global vaccine-sharing initiative COVAX, with the earliest delivery date being February, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said Thursday.

A delegation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam made a 2-day visit to Thai Nguyen University - Lao Cai Campus on December 10 and 11, 2020. Thai Nguyen University - Lao Cai Campus is located close to the border between Vietnam and Yunnan province in China, making it the northernmost university in Vietnam. Indigenous people comprise 65% of the population of Lao Cai province, so a major responsibility of the university is to provide education and training for them.
