Bank of Taiwan Opens Kuala Lumpur Representative Office

The Bank of Taiwan has announced a new milestone in its ongoing effort to expand business overseas in line with the government’s New Southbound Policy. Following the opening of its Jakarta Representative Office on Sept. 23, 2019, the Bank will inaugurate its newest representative office, in Kuala Lumpur, on Feb. 20 this year.

Premier pledges government aid for industries hit by coronavirus

Premier Su Tseng-chang on Thursday pledged that the government will ensure sufficient supplies for combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and that the resources will be distributed with priority to those most in need. NTU rises to 8th in latest Emerging Economies University Rankings

Taipei-based National Taiwan University (NTU) ranked eighth in the 2020 Emerging Economies University Rankings released Tuesday, up two spots from last year. The ranking, compiled by the London-based Times Higher Education (THE) magazine, this year listed 533 universities in 47 countries. Besides Taiwan, the only countries with schools in the top 10 are China, which bagged seven of the 10 places, Russia and South Africa.
