The Taipei City Government launches the “Global Pass” at a press conference held on March 27th. Mayor Chiang Wan-an highlighted that this initiative marks a pivotal moment for Taipei’s startup ecosystem. Taipei City invited friendly city Fukuoka and sister city Manila to Taipei to roll out the “Global Pass” program.
Anumber of social service organizations from Taiwan were very active in the Philippines in 2023. One is the Taiwan Technical Mission in the Philippines, which built on successful experience in Taiwan to improve the lives of local farmers at a recently established demonstration farm. Another is the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families Philippines, which worked with residents to build community resilience.

In remarks, President Tsai said that in the past few years, we have navigated through many twists and turns, but that Taiwan is proving resilient and reliable in the face of uncertainty, and that we have also seen Taiwan’s enduring partnership with the United States.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Jaushieh Joseph Wu met with over 160 representatives of nongovernmental organizations at a tea reception March 26 at Taipei Guest House in the capital, pledging to continue boosting domestic NGOs’ international participation.
