The Ministry of Culture held an online press conference for the upcoming “2021 National Language Development Conference (國家語言發展會議)” on July 21, inviting the Ministry of Education, the Hakka Affairs Council, and the Council of Indigenous Peoples. The MOC hoped to discuss issues related to national language development through public participation to come up with measures that will help revitalize endangered national languages.

Regarding the nine imported cases, they were all men between 20 and 79 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines (2 cases) and Indonesia (7 cases). They arrived in Taiwan between June 24 and July 20.

Regarding the six imported cases, they were four men and two women between under 10 and 49 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Myanmar, the US (three cases), and Indonesia (two cases), respectively. They arrived in Taiwan between July 5 and July 19.

Taiwan is enhancing cooperation with Indo-Pacific stakeholders in promoting peace, security and prosperity throughout the region, according to Foreign Minister Jaushieh Joseph Wu.

Premier Su Tseng-chang on Tuesday attended the launch of the Taiwan Innovation Board and Pioneer Stock Board, saying that the government’s economic strategy for supporting innovative industries is to create a better investment environment for them.
