Regarding the three imported cases, Case #15468 is an American male in his 50s. He traveled to Taiwan from the US for work on July 2. Case #15472 is a Taiwanese girl under the age of 10. She returned to Taiwan from the US on July 2. Case #15480 is an over 30-year-old male fisherman from the Philippines. He arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines on April 30.

The fourth European Union (EU) – Taiwan Human Rights Consultation took place on 15th July 2021 by video conference. The consultation, formally opened by EEAS Deputy Managing Director for Human Rights, Global & Multilateral Issues Kristin De Peyron, was co-chaired on the EU side by Luisa Ragher, Head of Human Rights Division, and Jonathan Hatwell, Head of Division for China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Mongolia, and on Taiwan side by Ping-Cheng Lo, Minister without Portfolio.

APEC envoy Morris Chang attends 2021 APEC Informal Leaders’ Retreat

Regarding the four new imported cases, Case #15437 is an over 40-year-old male from Afghanistan. Case#15446 and Case #15447 are two Indonesian male fishermen, and they took the same flight to Taiwan from their home country on May 12. Case #15452 is a Dutch male in his 40s. He traveled to Taiwan from United Arab Emirates (Dubai) for work on July 13.

Presidential Office thanks Japan for third donation of COVID-19 vaccines

In response to the arrival of a third shipment of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines donated by Japan, Presidential Office Spokesperson Xavier Chang (張惇涵) said the Presidential Office is again sincerely grateful to the Japanese government for its timely assistance, and noted that this shipment of approximately 1 million doses, which arrived in Taiwan on the afternoon of July 15, has brought the total number of doses donated to Taiwan by the Japanese government to over 3.3 million.
