The 11th round of Trade and Investment Frame Agreement (TIFA) meetings between Taiwan and the United States began Wednesday at 7 a.m. (Taiwan time) via videoconferencing before concluding successfully in the afternoon. The talks were led by the Deputy Trade Representative Yang Jen-ni of the Executive Yuan's Office of Trade Negotiations (OTN) and Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Terrence McCartin of the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
Regarding the new imported cases, Case #14875 is an over 30-year-old male from India. He traveled to Taiwan from India on June 27. After arrival, he was quarantined in a group quarantine facility, and was tested for COVID-19. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on June 30.
