Since becoming the Asia-Pacific region’s first certified eco-port in 2014, Port of Kaohsiung has renewed its EcoPorts certification regularly in 2016, 2018, and 2020. EcoPorts certification has helped bring international attention to the environmental protection efforts of Taiwan’s international commercial ports.

A group of just this kind of trekkers founded the Taiwan Wilderness Education Association with the intention of using guided treks to lead people on a journey of self-discovery and personal improvement.

The World Health Organization has designated 2021 the International Year of Health and Care Workers, and launched a year-long campaign under the theme “Protect. Invest. Together.” In order to echo this theme, the TaiwanICDF will co-host a webinar with global partners, and has produced a video titled “Joining Hands for Good.”

Regarding the three new imported cases, Case #4023 is an over 20-year-old male fisherman from Indonesia. Case #4227 is an over 40-year-old male migrant worker from the Philippines. Case #4228 is an over 40-year-old male from Denmark. He was diagnosed with COVID-10 in March in Denmark.

Taekwondo athlete Lo Chia-ling (羅嘉翎) became the fourth and final member of the Taiwanese team to secure a berth at the Tokyo Olympics Games, after beating her opponent in the Asian Qualification Tournament in Amman, Jordan, Saturday.

Regarding the two imported cases, Case #3462 is a Taiwanese man in his 30s. He tested positive for COVID-19 in January in the Philippines. Case #3867 is a British man in his 30s. He traveled to Taiwan from the UK for work on April 28.
