Halal products have stepped into the international spotlight these years. The reason is not only the business opportunities brought by the rapid growth of Muslim populations but also the impact arisen from more market access issues raised internationally. The Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) has dedicated on harmonizing the standards and certification schemes of halal products among Islamic countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia.
On April 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced four new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those four new cases arrived in Taiwan from Kazakhstan (Case #1123), Egypt (Case #1124), the Philippines (Case #1125) and India (Case #1126).
The first online training course on digital marketing capabilities was opportunely launched by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Taiwan and Malaysia in response to the structural changes of global economic and trade activities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
