CECC confirms 2 more imported case; two cases arrive in Taiwan from India

On April 17, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced two new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The two new cases (Case #1072 and Case #1073) are two males from India, who are in their 30s and 20s, respectively. They both traveled to Taiwan for studies on March 30, and didn't experience any symptoms during the quarantine period.

On April 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced two new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those two new cases arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines (Case #1070) and Croatia (Case #1071).

Taipei Becomes First City in Northeast Asia with Certified WTTC Safe Travels Stamp

In February of 2021, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) announced that it has certified Taipei City as the first safe travel city in Taiwan and Northeast Asia to receive its Safe Travels stamp. Mayor Ko Wen-je attended the ceremony on April 16 to hand the certificates to representatives from the local tourism industry.
