On April 5, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The new case, Case #1049, is an over 20-year-old female from Indonesia. The Indonesian woman traveled to Taiwan for studies on March 21. She didn’t experience any symptoms when she arrived in Taiwan. Before completing the quarantine period, she was tested for COVID-19 on April 3; infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 5.
