Singapore orders 25 tons of Taiwanese pineapples

Singapore has ordered 25 tons of pineapples from Tainan, Taiwan. That’s as Taiwan faces a sudden ban of its pineapples from China in place since March 1. Since China is Taiwan’s primary pineapple export market, the ban has led to a crisis that has only been resolved by an increase of domestic orders.

CECC confirms 1 more imported COVID-19 case; Philippine migrant worker found to have COVID-19 during quarantine period

On March 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The new case, Case #979, is an over 20-year-old male migrant worker from the Philippines. The migrant worker visited Taiwan for work on February 28.
