On December 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced three new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Among those three new cases, two (Case #765 and Case #766) are colleagues of Case #760 announced on December 15, and the other one, a sailor, arrived in Taiwan from Indonesia.
On December 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced four new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those four new cases arrived in Taiwan from India, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the United States.
Taiwan has its own group of dedicated treasure hunters! But instead of searching for riches hidden in caves, they are trawling the US National Archives for historical information related to Taiwan. This isn’t the sort of treasure that will make anyone wealthy, but it can help Taiwanese better understand ourselves and how we got to our present place in the world.
