Taiwan will continue suspending entry of Indonesian migrant workers and will lift the measure depending on coronavirus situation in Indonesia

On December 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in consideration of the escalating coronavirus situation in Indonesia, it would continue suspending entry of all Indonesian migrant workers coming to Taiwan to work starting from December 18.

This office will be closed from 24th December 2020 to 1st January 2021 to celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays

On December 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced seven new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Among those seven cases (Cases #744-750), two arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines, four traveled from Russia, and one arrived from the United States.

Those two new cases are an over 30-year-old female migrant worker from the Philippines (Case #742) and an over 30-year-old male migrant worker from Indonesia (Case #743).

On December 12, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced eight new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Among those eight new cases, four arrived in Taiwan from Indonesia, three came from the United States, and one traveled from the United Kingdom.
