Taiwan imposed the mandatory group quarantine measure on travelers visiting Taiwan from the Philippines on September 24, requiring those travelers to follow the specimen collection procedure upon arrival, to complete the quarantine period at a group quarantine facility, and to undergo another second specimen collection before the end of the quarantine period.

On November 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed case (Case #569) of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). As of writing, a cumulative total of 102,790 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 101,351. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 568 cases.

FSC conducts first visits to pilot bilingual branches in central Taiwan

On the morning of November 3, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) Vice Chairperson Jean Chiu, National Development Council Deputy Minister Yu Chien-Hwa, and Political Deputy Minister of Finance Chuang Tsui-Yun proceeded together to central Taiwan to conduct visits at two pilot bilingual branches there for the first time.
