The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) online and physical hybrid workshop, “Integrating SMEs and E-commerce in AEO Supply Chain” was held today at the Taipei International Convention Center. Over 100 government, industry and academia representatives from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Canada, Chile, Peru, Singapore, Papua New Guinea joined the workshop online across 8 time zones.
On October 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The new case is a Filipino migrant worker in his 30s (Case #531). The case entered Taiwan on September 17. He hasn't developed any symptoms since arrival.
President Tsai Ing-wen met with senior executives from the offshore wind industry and diplomatic representatives to Taiwan on the morning of October 15.
