On October 7, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that a cumulative total of 95,262 cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 93,987. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 523 cases (Cases #522 and #523 confirmed today).

On October 7, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced two new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The two cases are a Taiwanese woman in her 20s (Case #522) and an Indian man in his 30s (Case #523). They entered Taiwan from Ireland and India, respectively.
