CECC confirms 1 more imported COVID-19 case; female case returns to Taiwan from Philippines

On August 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The case (Case #476) is an over 50-year-old female who resided in the Philippines for long time (the last time she departed from Taiwan was in January). The female case returned to Taiwan by herself on August 2.

Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines will suspend its consular services until further notice.
