Taiwan's passport has been ranked the 33rd most powerful globally, as it allows visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 146 destinations around the world, according to a survey released Tuesday by the London-based citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners.

CECC urges the public to continue to practice personal hygiene and maintain social distancing as many countries see a resurgence in coronavirus cases

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on July 8. The CECC reported that a cumulative total of 77,876 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 76,942. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 449 cases.
