TFDA holds international virtual meeting on the experience of combating against COVID-19

A virtual meeting on the experience of fighting against COVID-19 will be convened by Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA), the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW), on 16th June, 2020. The meeting will be hosted by Dr. Shou-Mei Wu, the Director General of TFDA, and bring together the pharmaceutical regulatory authorities from Chile, European Union, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and the United States.

Taiwan moves up 5 spots to 11th in IMD competitiveness rankings

Taiwan has moved up five places from last year to 11th in the latest annual world competitiveness ranking released by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) on Tuesday. It was Taiwan's best performance in the last four years after ranking 14th in both 2016 and 2017, 17th in 2018, and 16th in 2019, and the first time it was ranked as high as 11th since the 2015 rankings. Employment gold cards issued to foreign nationals rise nearly 80%

Taiwan issued 240 employment gold cards to foreign professionals in the first five months of this year, an increase of 77.8 percent from a year earlier, according to the National Development Council (NDC) Tuesday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affair’s 6th Trending Taiwan Short Film Competition is accepting entries from June 15 to July 31. This year, in addition to the existing open category, which encourages entries that showcase Taiwan’s unique local stories, a new pandemic-prevention category has been added.
