Tainan Mayor Actively Promotes Pineapple Exports, Opens New Opportunity In New Zealand Market

Taiwan and New Zealand signed an agreement on April 9 which officially approved the export of Taiwan’s pineapples into the New Zealand market. The Tainan City Government expressed that they are happy to see such results and this agreement will bring new opportunities for Tainan’s high-quality pineapples in the global market. To further promote and expand the export market of Taiwan’s agricultural products, Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che actively participates in many international trade events.

Mayor Lu returns to Taiwan after 3-day visit to Singapore with thoughtful hospitality, Mayor: fruitful results beyond expectations

On April 3, Taichung City Mayor Lu Hsiu-yen led a team from the city government on a visit to Singapore, where they visited a waste recycling facility, the Great Singapore Sale, and the Singapore National Stadium. They returned to Taiwan on the morning of April 6. Mayor Lu expressed her deep appreciation for the warm and thoughtful hospitality extended by the Singapore Government during their three-day visit.

The annual Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage from Taichung’s Dajia Jenn Lann Temple will start tonight at 11 p.m., marking the beginning of a 9-day, 8-night journey on foot. The route will pass through Taichung, Changhua, Yunlin, and Chiayi, with plans to return on the night of April 14. This afternoon, Deputy Mayor Huang Kuo-jung, on behalf of Mayor Lu Hsiu-yen, respectfully invited Mazu onto the palanquin.
