National Taiwan University (NTU) rose one spot to 20th in the 2021 Asia University Rankings, released Wednesday by Times Higher Education (THE), a U.K.-based publication.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs announced on March 11th at the Intelligent International Pre-Certification Innovation Service (beCert) Conference that AI and blockchain technology helped the leading domestic aquaculture producer, Kouhu Fisheries, obtain Taiwan’s first BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices) Certification in February, making Taiwan the 40th country in the world to receive the certification.
After a briefing on Thursday from the Ministry of Health and Welfare on the current status of and response to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19, Premier Su Tseng-chang directed relevant ministries and agencies to continue working on such tasks as preventing the spread of the virus, acquiring and administering vaccines, and curbing disinformation.
Regarding the two new imported cases, Case #9567 is an over 20-year-old male from Indonesia. He traveled to Taiwan from Indonesia on May 5. Case #9883 is an over 20-year-old male from Vietnam. He traveled to Taiwan for work on May 18.
In compliance with the government’s Level 3 pandemic restriction measures, Art Bank Taiwan (藝術銀行) will be closed until June 14. However, it will continue to operate online through its official website, Facebook fan page, YouTube channel, online exhibition and Podcast.
