Hon Hai teams up with U.S. firm Fisker to develop electric vehicles

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the world’s largest contract electronics maker, announced Wednesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Fisker Inc., a U.S. electric vehicle (EV) maker, to build a new EV model under the Fisker brand, with the goal of starting mass production by the fourth quarter of 2023.

In response to the continued severity of COVID-19 worldwide, Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program will continue to be implemented

On February 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program, originally scheduled to be effective from December 1, 2020, to February 28, 2021, would be adjusted and continue to be implemented on and after March 1, in response to the severity of COVID-19 globally and the continued occurrence of imported cases in Taiwan.

CECC confirms 1 more imported COVID-19 case; Filipino man found to have COVID-19 at end of quarantine period

On February 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. This new cases, Case #943, is an over 20-year-old male from the Philippines. The Filipino man traveled to Taiwan for work on February 3. He didn't experience any symptoms when he underwent quarantine.
