The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Pingtung County announced on April 14 that the permanent exhibition “Tobacco Factory and Smoked Memories (菸.葉.廠-複薰的金黃記憶)” at the Pingtung 1936 Tobacco Culture Base (屏菸1936文化基地, PT1936) has won the prestigious iF Design Award 2023 under the category of Cultural Exhibitions.

The grand opening ceremony of the 2023 Taiwan International Orchid Show was held on Mar. 3. Tainan City Government invited 14 foreign representatives in Taiwan to attend as special guests. Ten correspondents from well-known international media stationed in Taiwan also came to cover the event.

The 2023 Central Taiwan Lantern Festival was held in Central Park at Shuinan for the first time this year. The Taichung City Government invited ambassadors from friendly countries such as Paraguay, Honduras, Saint Kitts, and Nevis, as well as distinguished guests from Thailand, the United States, and Japan to visit. Deputy Mayor Guo-Rong Huang represented the government to receive them.

The Chiayi County Government formed a group of 35 people with the Tourism Bureau, MOTC and 22 Taiwanese companies to participate in the International Travel Exhibition (ITE HCMC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and fully promote Taiwan's most beautiful mountains, in order to deploy business opportunities of tourism after the opening of the border in advance. Vietnamese travelers are cordially encouraged to relive the sea and plain scenery of Taiwan.
